Social Responsibility at Zazil Tunich and Xeneba Maya Village

At Zazil Tunich, social responsibility is an important part of our work. Through Xeneba Maya Village and our Cenote Museum, we support nearby Maya communities, with particular attention to single mothers facing vulnerable circumstances.

When people leave their communities to find work in the Mexican Caribbean, the families who remain can face financial and social challenges. Our aim is to help preserve cultural traditions and create opportunities that strengthen families and community pride.

We support the production of hammocks, embroidery, honey and handicrafts through our sales and community projects. We also work with Fortaleciendo Familiasto connect these community initiatives with the visitor experience, from the decoration of our spaces to the ingredients used in our Maya cuisine.
