Yes. Transportation is available from Valladolid only. Your driver collects you at your hotel, takes you to Zazil Tunich, waits two hours and returns you to your hotel. The price is MXN 800 for one to four guests. Contact us for larger groups.
Each time slot normally welcomes up to 20 guests. A larger group travelling together may be accommodated in the same time slot; please confirm arrangements with us.
We do not currently offer discounts.

Our traditional cabins are designed for two guests. Each features a suspended bed, a hand-painted mural of local birds and an open-door bathroom with hot water. There is no Wi-Fi inside the cabins, inviting you to disconnect; Wi-Fi is available in shared areas.

Cabin stays include access to the cenote between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., exclusively for guests of the village.

The tour and the tour-with-dinner experience usually last around two hours. The exact duration may be shorter or longer.

We are approximately 25 minutes from central Valladolid, two hours from Cancún and two hours from Mérida.

Drive slowly on the rural road from Yalcobá to the cenote. Download your Google Maps route before leaving, as mobile reception can be limited. To preserve the privacy of the setting, there are no roadside signs, but our team can help you find your way.

Yes, children can take part in the experience at Zazil Tunich. The cenote has shallow areas, but children must remain under adult supervision.

Please supervise children throughout the visit and help them remain calm so that everyone in the group can enjoy the experience.

Our Maya Underworld experience includes admission, a guided tour and swimming. Dining options can be added, from traditional Maya meals to a meal inside the cenote, 20 metres underground.

We also arrange weddings, proposals, anniversaries, retreats, stays, corporate incentive trips and group dining. These are quoted individually according to your requirements.

Vegan and vegetarian guests can enjoy chaya tamales made with local corn dough, vegetable oil and freshly picked chaya leaves, served with tomato sauce.

Yes. Exclusive use can be arranged for a minimum of two hours or up to a full day. Contact us to plan your private experience.

The published depth is approximately 1.8 to 2 metres at the deepest point, with shallower edges. Follow your guide’s instructions for swimming during daytime or evening visits.

For standard experiences, we recommend booking at least one day ahead. Time slots are limited to 20 guests, and a deposit is required to secure your place. Special events may need more advance planning.
