A Guided Journey Through the Cenote Museum

Discover a landscape shaped by nature along a 200-metre route, 20 metres below ground. Stalactites and stalagmites guide the way towards the cenote, where shallow water and stories of Xibalbá create a memorable underground setting. Along the route, look out for the Maya Kiss passage, formed by a striking tilted stalagmite, and the Alux Cave (the guardian of the caves), beside the platform of the Lords of Xibalbá.

The route combines the tranquillity of the cavern with the storytelling of the Maya underworld. Take time to appreciate the formations and discover why places like this hold such significance in Maya mythology.
